About Me

Ella attends The Glasgow School of Art and studies Fine Art: Painting and Printmaking.
She is influenced by the works and ideas of contemporary artist / designers such as Olafur Eliasson who believe art should benefit society and expand the awareness of the viewer.
Her practice explores the feeling of immersion gained through both digital and physical environments. The environments created are imagined or inspired from a particular element of colour, light and form. The outcomes predominately work in series, each having various
different material outcomes which aim to investigate, grow and explore the initial ideas being showcased.
Her works to date are a reflection of these concepts, expressed through her own ideas and experiences.
She mostly works in paint, animation, sound, digitally sketching and 3-dimensional coded environments to get to the final outcome. The varying mediums I have worked in have helped me build up my initial concepts and made me see new areas of investigation for my practice.
