Oil Pastel is one of my favoured mediums to use. I use it to sketch out ideas or experiment with colour, light and shape combinations. My pastel studies are often  expressions of how I am thinking of a piece of work or colour tones i am looking to draw into it. 

 

The pastels create bold, broken down forms which then develop later into paintings.
